New outlet opens at EC-6, 1A Cross Rd, EC Block, Sector 1
Ever heard of the Chinese folk tale about the weaver girl and the cowherd? The one where the two lovers banished to the opposite ends of the Milky Way meet once a year when the Magpies form a bridge? Well, Mrs. Magpie bridges that very divide between dessert lovers of Salt Lake and their sweet treats.
The Mrs. Magpie, Salt Lake is really spacious with beautiful wooden hand painted tables and bright walls. The large windows and the display counter really add a sparkle to the decor.
Our evening was well spent with some scrumptious treats like the
pizzette (as cute as smurfette), Cheesy and smoky flavoured chicken, soft chicken cheese balls and the crunchy fish fingers with spicy mayo. And obviously the mini cupcakes with marzipan of all shapes and sizes.
Now let’s talk business. For all those who have complained about space, this Mrs Magpie outlet is way more spacious than the other two. There is a special, most adorable section designed for kids where they can play and let their parents sit and eat in peace. An interesting feature of this new Mrs Magpie Cafe is its Community table- for those eating alone, now you can share your table with other interesting people, and make new friends (or not!). The Menu offers a Low Tea Buffet with special introductory prices of 325/- for Veg and 375/- for Non-Veg plus taxes. It comprises a range of Savouries, Desserts, and Beverages. There also is a al a carte menu and a TO-Go menu.
If you have already visited Mrs Magpie before you may already have your very own choice of orders.
Mrs Magpie is famous for the following, some of these are our personal favorites, although we haven’t tried these at this very outlet yet.
The Hot chocolate
The strawberry shake
The Coleslaw sandwich
Chicken club sandwich
Mutton SLider Platter
Grilled Chicken Tortilla Pizza
Rich Chocolate Ice Cream
From the Mini frosted cupcakes : Nutty Praline, After 8ish, Lemon meringue, Peanut butter.
They are introducing a new Granola Yogurt which we are excited about, since their Raspberry Apricot Yogurt was Blah’s personal favourite.
Also every week there will one particular flavour of liqueur infused cupcakes, and we used to die for their absolutely sinful Bailey;s and Cointreau infused cupcakes.
So as Mrs. Magpie takes flight in Salt Lake come be a part of the journey.
